Kölner Dom, Cologne CathedralWeek 2 of work is over.  Time for a weekend.  Since Le Mans was not in a plan anymore, I decided to go to somewhere close by.  Either Belgium or Germany...and Köln was the best suggestion.  It only takes 1.5 hours to get there.

Invited Derek to come along since he's never been there either.  He hesitated at first but then he changed his mind.  Yes!!!  I am going to Germany!!!

Picked him up at 8:00 on Saturday morning.  I drove my car and off we went...

My Dutch bikeHighlight for today is my bike purchase.

Woke up at 5am, as usual, called home and Skyped with Engga, Jojo, and Timo.  Went back to sleep, waited for 11am.  That's the time to meet my bike.  Woke up around 9am and decided to swim.  Went swimming...it was just opened, no one was there.  I just enjoyed my moment swimming around the pool by myself, followed by a sauna.  Back to my apartment, got ready to go to Derek's hotel...he's driving me there so I could ride it back if I liked it.

bikesMay 29, 2010...that's when I departed from Boise for a job related trip to Holland.  Had breakfast at IHOP with the family, including Daniel-bro.  On the way to the airport, Jojo and Timo sang the song 'You Are My Sunshine' of their version...You Are My Mommy.

You are my mommy, my only mommy...You make me happy when skies are grey...You never know dear, how much I love you....Please don't take my mommy away.

What a tough feeling to leave.  I miss them so much.

Nice Taiwanese lady at the Carrefour supermarketWhat can I write or share about my  recent trip to Taiwan?  It was a short but full of new experience for me.  Starting from being at the airport checking-in...Taiwan was not listed in Delta database. What country could Taiwan be a part of???

Mmm...nobody knew and Engga had to Google it.  According to Wikipedia, Taiwan is Republic of China. Interesting... However, the Delta agent could not select that because it requires visa.  They finally figured something out after calling the main office. They just had to add 'TAIWAN' in their database.

Let's hear about the highlights of my trip. Click the title of this entry.

my iPhoneCan't go anywhere without my iPhone (well, except to some places where I don't need it, like bathroom).  I found it to be the best phone I have ever owned.  It is not only functioning as a cellular phone...it does way more than that.

The monthly fee costs more than normal phone bill because you have to pay for the data plan.  The 3G (3rd Generation) network makes this device so useful.  3G does wide-area wireless voice telephone, video calls, and wireless data in mobile environment.  According to Wikipedia, 3G allows simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data rates (up to 14.0 Mbits/sec on the downlink and 5.8 Mbit/sec on the uplink).  It is pretty fast when accessing the internet and download/send emails.

I can do a lot of things at the palm of my hand, such as emails, SMS (Short Message Service), iPod, weather, clock (with very useful alarm), calendar, camera, iTunes, Google Maps (with GPS), Flixster, dictionary, translator, stock market info, notebook, news (USA Today), drinks recipes, Yahoo Messenger, Skype, eBay, Facebook, and many more life support applications.

My Buell BlastThere were a lot of things going on since the beginning of this year. I learned French at BSU for 8 weeks. It was fun and I learned a lot. Then I got to make decision on getting Invisalign, which I had put on hold for years. Got 4 teeth pulled out and now I am wearing the aligners every day.

Bought a 2006 Buell Blast 500cc, black, loud pipe. And took IdahoStar Motorcycle class. Got the highest score in the class...I was proud. Went for a ride with friends from work to Lowman-Idaho City. It was a blast!
